3rd Global Geologists Annual Meeting

About Conference:

OMICS International invites all the participants across the globe to attend the 2nd Global Geologists Annual Meeting which is going to be held during July 11-12, 2016 at Brisbane, Australia. The theme of the conference is “Profound discoveries about the origins and evolution of Geology ".

Geologists 2016 is an international platform for presenting research on Geology, exchanging ideas about origins, evolution and recent trends of earth and thus bequeath to the dissipation of knowledge on Geology. Geologists 2016 is a platform where researchers gain perspective on the latest research on Geology and its future. Our aim is to aggregate researchers, academicians and scientists from the Geophysics, Geology and specific related engineering areas to create a platform for robust exchange of information on technological advances, new scientific achievements and the effectiveness of various regulatory programs towards Geologists and earth sciences. It provides a premier technical forum for reporting and learning about the latest research and development, as well as for launching new applications and technologies.

The field of Geology has become astonishing and enchanting with rapidly expanding opportunities. Geologists are chamberlains of Earth's resources and environment. They work to understand natural processes on Earth and other planets. Investigating the Earth, its soils, oceans, and atmosphere; forecasting the weather; developing land-use plans; exploring other planets and the solar system; determining environmental impacts; and finding new sources of useful Earth materials are just a few of the ways geoscientists contribute to our understanding of Earth processes and history. Geologists provide essential information for solving problems and establishing governmental policies for resource management; environmental protection; and public health, safety, and welfare.

The geology of Australia includes virtually all known rock types and from all geological time periods spanning over 3.8 billion years of the Earth's history. The current Australian continental mass is composed of a thick sub continental lithosphere, over 200 km thick in the western two thirds and 100 km thick in the younger eastern third. The Australian continental crust, excluding the thinned margins, has an average thickness of 38 km, with a range in thickness from 24 km to 59 km. The Australian continent evolved in five broad but distinct time periods, namely: 3800–2100 Ma, 2100–1300 Ma, 1300–600 Ma, 600–160 Ma and 160 Ma to the present.

We welcome all the participants and contributors to join us at the Geologists 2016 and all members of the Geologists-2016 Organizing Committee look forward to meet you in Brisbane, Australia.
